Dirt Flight, instant aerial imagery
Aerial 3D view of a rural Ohio land parcel with the boundary outlined

Aerial photos of land in Ohio.

Send an Ohio APN and the county it sits in. Dirt Flight builds the boundary from that county's own parcel records and renders the full aerial pack in about ten minutes. A hunting tract in Vinton County and tillable in Darke County come back the same way, in the same ten minutes.

The short answer
Updated August 2026

Dirt Flight is not a drone photography service. To get aerial photos of an Ohio parcel, enter the county and the APN. The boundary is drawn from county GIS parcel data and the pack renders in about ten minutes: an outlined top down, four cardinal 3D views, an 18 second orbit video and a contour map. Nobody flies out, so there is no travel charge, and all 88 counties render.

Why Ohio is different

Row crop north, hills and hardwood south.

Ohio splits down the middle. North of the glacial line it is flat and tillable, and the question is drainage and tile. South of it the ground breaks into hardwood ridges and hollows, and the question is access and where the ridge tops are. Both are invisible from the township road.

County GIS parcel data is what the boundary is drawn from, so coverage here is complete rather than partial. A tract in Vinton County renders in the same ten minutes as a quarter in Darke County, and tile lines, waterways and hardwood ridges read clearly from above.

Boundaries are approximate, from public parcel data, and are not a survey.

Where Ohio land actually trades.

These are the ones land buyers ask for most, each with its own page.

Do not see your county? Every one of the 88 renders. Send the APN and it comes back the same ten minutes.

Ohio questions

Asked by people selling Ohio ground.

Which Ohio counties can you do?

Send the county and the APN and we go straight to that county's own parcel records. Coverage varies: some states publish one statewide layer, others leave it county by county. If yours is one where the records are not public, you hear it from us before anything is charged.

How much does a drone photographer cost for a rural Ohio listing?

Dirt Flight is not a drone photography service, so this is not our fee. An Ohio pilot quotes the shoot plus the drive, and a tract down in the hills is a two-hour drive from most of them. Dirt Flight renders the parcel from licensed aerial imagery and public elevation data instead of sending anyone up in the air, so there is no travel charge, no scheduling and no weather day.

Will drainage and tile show on tillable ground?

Often. Tile runs, grassed waterways, ditch outlets and the darker wet end of a field read from above, and the contour map shows the fall. On northwest Ohio flat ground that is what buyers are looking for.

Can you show ridge tops and access on a hunting tract?

Yes. The contour map separates ridge, bench and hollow, and the access view marks the road frontage and the visible track in. Southeast Ohio buyers use it to judge whether they can get a truck to the back.

How recent is the imagery on an Ohio parcel?

Somewhere between one and three years for most Ohio ground, dated on the pack. New tile work or a food plot cut this spring will not appear until the next flight. Contour data behind the elevation views refreshes separately.

What exactly comes back for an Ohio APN?

An outlined top down, four cardinal 3D views, an 18 second orbit video, a contour map, a context map and a parcel info sheet. Paydirt adds road frontage views, infrared, a social kit and the full resolution files. Ohio sellers use the contour map in the hills and the top down up north. Got an Ohio parcel under contract?

Send the county and the APN. If your invite is not open yet we will still look at the first one by hand.
