Dirt Flight is not a drone photography service. To get aerial photos of a North Carolina parcel, enter the county and the APN. The boundary is drawn from county GIS parcel data and the pack renders in about ten minutes: an outlined top down, four cardinal 3D views, an 18 second orbit video and a contour map. Nobody flies out, so there is no travel charge, and all 100 counties render.
North Carolina buyers ask three different questions depending on where the tract sits. In the mountains it is slope and a building site. In the piedmont it is timber and frontage. Down east it is drainage and how much of it stays wet. One aerial pack answers all three.
County GIS parcel data is what the boundary is drawn from, so coverage here is complete rather than partial. A tract in Ashe County renders in the same ten minutes as a lot in Wake County, and slope, planted pine and wet ground read clearly from above.
Boundaries are approximate, from public parcel data, and are not a survey.
One parcel, one APN. Hardwood on the upper slope, a cleared bench with a view to the south, and a gravel road switching up from the state road.
Everything in the pack
Every view below came back from one parcel number, in about ten minutes, with no pilot and no site visit.

These are the ones land buyers ask for most, each with its own page.
Do not see your county? Every one of the 100 renders. Send the APN and it comes back the same ten minutes.
Send the county and the APN and we go straight to that county's own parcel records. Coverage varies: some states publish one statewide layer, others leave it county by county. If yours is one where the records are not public, you hear it from us before anything is charged.
Dirt Flight is not a drone photography service, so this is not our fee. A North Carolina pilot quotes the shoot plus the drive, and mountain tracts add a weather day on top of it. Dirt Flight renders the parcel from licensed aerial imagery and public elevation data instead of sending anyone up in the air, so there is no travel charge, no scheduling and no weather day.
The contour map shows the slope honestly and the imagery shows the cleared benches, which together is how mountain buyers judge whether a house site exists. Whether one can be permitted is a county and soils question.
Yes. Ditching, sitting water, cypress and the darker wet ground read from above, and the contour map shows the fall on flat tracts where inches matter. On eastern North Carolina land that is the first question.
Expect one to three years, and check the date stamped on the pack. A thinning, a replant or a new grade cut will not appear until the next flight. The elevation data behind the contour map runs on its own refresh cycle.
One outlined top down, four cardinal 3D views, one 18 second orbit video, a contour map, a context map and a parcel info sheet. Step up to Paydirt for road frontage views, infrared, a social kit and the full resolution files. North Carolina buyers read slope off the contour map and stands off the top down.
Send the county and the APN. If your invite is not open yet we will still look at the first one by hand.
