Dirt Flight is not a drone photography service. To get aerial photos of a West Virginia parcel, enter the county and the APN. The boundary is drawn from the statewide cadastral layer and the pack renders in about ten minutes: an outlined top down, four cardinal 3D views, an 18 second orbit video and a contour map. Nobody flies out, so there is no travel charge, and all 55 counties render.
Almost all of West Virginia is steep and wooded, which makes ground level photos close to useless. Buyers want the ridge lines, the hollows, the bench where a camp could sit, and the road or right of way that gets there. Old deed descriptions here make the outlined boundary more useful than anywhere.
The statewide cadastral layer is what the boundary is drawn from, so coverage here is complete rather than partial. A tract in Webster County renders in the same ten minutes as a lot in Berkeley County, and ridge, bench, hollow and old grade separate immediately on the contour map.
Boundaries are approximate, from public parcel data, and are not a survey.
One parcel, one APN. Mature hardwood across the ridge, an old grade in from the hollow, and a small bench near the top.
Everything in the pack
Every view below came back from one parcel number, in about ten minutes, with no pilot and no site visit.

These are the ones land buyers ask for most, each with its own page.
Do not see your county? Every one of the 55 renders. Send the APN and it comes back the same ten minutes.
Send the county and the APN and we go straight to that county's own parcel records. Coverage varies: some states publish one statewide layer, others leave it county by county. If yours is one where the records are not public, you hear it from us before anything is charged.
Dirt Flight is not a drone photography service, so this is not our fee. A West Virginia pilot quotes the shoot plus the drive, and the last four miles of that drive are the slow ones. Dirt Flight renders the parcel from licensed aerial imagery and public elevation data instead of sending anyone up in the air, so there is no travel charge, no scheduling and no weather day.
It will, honestly, which is the point. Ridge, bench and hollow separate clearly, so a buyer can judge whether there is anywhere to put a camp before making the drive. Sellers of steep ground find it helps more than it hurts.
The access view shows the visible roads and grades reaching the parcel, which is the practical picture. Whether a right of way exists and what it permits is a title question, and we do not answer it.
One to three years, and the date is on the pack rather than buried in a footnote. A bench cut in this year or a reopened grade will not appear until the next flight. If something changed on the ground recently, say so in the listing text.
Six pieces: the outlined top down, four cardinal 3D views, the 18 second orbit, a contour map, a context map and a parcel info sheet. Paydirt adds road frontage views, infrared, a social kit and the full resolution files. West Virginia buyers go straight to the contour map.
Send the county and the APN. If your invite is not open yet we will still look at the first one by hand.
