Dirt Flight, instant aerial imagery
Aerial 3D view of a rural New Jersey land parcel with the boundary outlined

Aerial photos of land in New Jersey.

Send a New Jersey APN and the county it sits in. Dirt Flight builds the boundary from that county's own parcel records and renders the full aerial pack in about ten minutes. A Pinelands lot in Burlington County and a farm tract in Salem County come back the same way, in the same ten minutes.

The short answer
Updated August 2026

Dirt Flight is not a drone photography service. To get aerial photos of a New Jersey parcel, enter the county and the APN. The boundary is drawn from the statewide cadastral layer and the pack renders in about ten minutes: an outlined top down, four cardinal 3D views, an 18 second orbit video and a contour map. Nobody flies out, so there is no travel charge, and all 21 counties render.

Why New Jersey is different

Small parcels where what abuts sets the price.

New Jersey land is priced by its surroundings and its constraints. Pinelands, wetland, preserved farmland next door, a right of way through the back. Buyers need to see the parcel in context, not a photo of a treeline off a county route.

The statewide cadastral layer is what the boundary is drawn from, so coverage here is complete rather than partial. A lot in Sussex County renders in the same ten minutes as one in Camden County, and wetland, woods line and cleared area separate at a glance.

Boundaries are approximate, from public parcel data, and are not a survey.

One APN. Everything below.

One parcel, one APN. Pitch pine across most of it, a low wet corner on the south end, and county road frontage on the west line.

New Jersey questions

Asked by people selling New Jersey ground.

Which New Jersey counties can you do?

Send the county and the APN and we go straight to that county's own parcel records. Coverage varies: some states publish one statewide layer, others leave it county by county. If yours is one where the records are not public, you hear it from us before anything is charged.

How much does a drone photographer cost for a rural New Jersey listing?

Dirt Flight is not a drone photography service, so this is not our fee. A New Jersey pilot quotes a shoot minimum that a single vacant lot rarely supports, plus airspace restrictions near the corridors. Dirt Flight renders the parcel from licensed aerial imagery and public elevation data instead of sending anyone up in the air, so there is no travel charge, no scheduling and no weather day.

Does airspace restriction affect this?

Not for us, and that is part of the point. Nothing flies, so controlled airspace around the corridors and airports is not a factor. A parcel under a restricted corridor renders exactly like any other.

Will wetland show up on the imagery?

Usually. Wetland vegetation, sitting water and the dark wet ground read from above, and the contour map shows the low end. It is a visual read from imagery, not a delineation, and in New Jersey buyers should expect to order one.

How recent is the imagery on a New Jersey parcel?

One to three years, and the date is on the pack rather than buried in a footnote. A new clearing or a spring driveway cut will not show until the next flight. If something changed on the ground recently, say so in the listing text.

What exactly comes back for a New Jersey APN?

Six pieces: the outlined top down, four cardinal 3D views, the 18 second orbit, a contour map, a context map and a parcel info sheet. Paydirt adds road frontage views, infrared, a social kit and the full resolution files. New Jersey sellers use the top down and the context map to show what abuts.

Got a New Jersey parcel under contract?

Send the county and the APN. If your invite is not open yet we will still look at the first one by hand.
