Alaska recreational parcels sell to buyers who cannot get there before closing. Remote lots off the highway system, cabin sites on a lake, tracts where access is a winter trail or a float plane. For most of them a photograph from the ground does not exist.

Those are the ones it helps most, because nothing has to be reached on the ground. The imagery and the context map show the trail, the water, the treeline and the real distance to the nearest road, so a buyer can judge access honestly.
How current is imagery this far north?
Coverage and refresh cycles vary more in Alaska than in the lower forty eight. The render date is stamped on the pack, and when a tract falls in a thinner coverage area we say so rather than pass it off as current.
How recent is the imagery on an Alaska parcel?
One to three years old, typically, with the render date printed on the pack. A new winter trail or a cabin pad cut last season will not show until the next flight. We would rather say that plainly than let a buyer assume the image is from last week.
