DirtFlight / What land aerial photography costs
Pricing guide
How much does aerial photography of land cost?
Two ways to get aerial photos of a parcel: hire a drone pilot, or render a pack from the parcel number. This is what each costs, what moves the price, and every DirtFlight plan.
Short answer
A rural drone shoot for a land listing commonly costs $150 to $600 plus travel and takes five to nine days. DirtFlight renders an aerial pack from the parcel number in about ten minutes: Dirt is $29 a parcel, Paydirt is $79, and PayDirt Pro is $199 a month for 20 packs. Free for a limited time.

Drone pricing
What changes the price of a drone shoot.
- Distance. A pilot charges for the drive, so a tract two counties out costs more than one in town.
- Size and number of shots. More acres and more angles mean more flight time and more editing.
- Video. A cut and edited video costs more than a set of stills.
- Weather and scheduling. Wind, rain and a full calendar push delivery out.
- Licensing and insurance. Commercial drone work generally needs a certified remote pilot, and that is part of what you pay for.
Ask any pilot what is in the quote: number of photos, resolution, video, editing, travel and revisions.
DirtFlight
What the DirtFlight price includes.
There is no travel charge, no minimum order and no retainer. Dirt and Paydirt are flat per parcel. The boundary is drawn on every view, a hosted listing page comes with each pack, and packs stay downloadable for 30 days. After 30 days you can rebuild a saved parcel for $9.95 (Dirt) or $19.95 (Paydirt).
The boundary is approximate, not a survey. The imagery is the most recent aerial available for that county, usually one to three years old, so it is not a photograph of the ground today.

Per month
What it costs by number of listings.
Using the low end of a drone shoot at $150 per parcel.
| Parcels a month | Paydirt at $79 each | PayDirt Pro (up to 20) | Drone shoot at $150 each |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $79 | $199 | $150 |
| 2 | $158 | $199 | $300 |
| 3 | $237 | $199 | $450 |
| 5 | $395 | $199 | $750 |
| 10 | $790 | $199 | $1,500 |
PayDirt Pro costs less than three Paydirt parcels at $79. A drone shoot gives you real photographs and DirtFlight does not, so the honest comparison is on the drone vs DirtFlight page.
